Legalization for Shipping of Personal Effects to Lebanon

To be exempted from any customs dues for shipping personal effects to Lebanon the person concerned:

1. Should have been living outside Lebanon for the past three consecutive years.

2. Should be moving permanently to Lebanon.

3. Should be using the said effects for his own personal use (any sales are illegal).

At the Consular Section

Complete a legalization application (select the link to get the form) and enclose the following:

·         Statement and pledge of personal effects form (select the link to get the form) signed by the applicant.

·         Itemized list of the personal effects (cars and heavy machinery don’t apply).

·         Valid passport, Lebanese identification card (I.D.), or family/individual ikhraj kayd issued within the last 10 years and a copy of the said document.

·         Fees: $30.00 (only cash or money orders payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon are accepted).

·         Certified self-addressed and stamped envelope for return (no return fees are accepted) if the documents are to be returned by mail.
