New blue format passports are issued solely by the Lebanese competent authorities in Lebanon and applications to obtain them are submitted at the Consular Section or in Lebanon.
Apply for a new passport:
At the Consular Section, complete in Arabic and English a serial application form for new passports and enclose the following:
· 4 recent passport photos 1.9x1.4 inch with full face and white background.
· Copy of your Lebanese id or ikhraj kayd issued within the last 10 years.
· Current passport and a copy of its first 6 pages.
· Parental consent form (select the link to get the form) for minors and applicants under 18 signed by both parents or legal guardians, at the Consular Section or authenticated by a notary public, affirming their consent to the application.
· Fees: $40.00 for 1 year and $200.00 for 5 years (only cash or money orders payable to the Consulate General of Lebanon are accepted).
The new passport will arrive from Lebanon in around 60 days.
When the new passport arrives at the Consulate, the concerned person will be contacted to provide the old passport held for cancellation and to receive the new one either in person at the Consulate or via certified self-addressed and stamped envelope for return (no return fees are accepted).
Via certified mail, if you can’t get to the Consulate, we can send you by regular mail a hard copy of the serial application form for new passports to be completed in person in Arabic and in English, signed and finger printed (right-hand thumb) in front of a notary public, and then send it to us along with:
