Pursuant to the instructions of the Lebanese authorities, as of 29
March 2016, this Consulate will be renewing Lebanese blue
passports on an exceptional basis for only one year, when one
applies for a new passport at the same time.
The Lebanese authorities invite Lebanese citizens wishing to obtain
new passports to apply at least three months before the end of the
validity of their current passports.
The Consulate continues to forward applications for new passports
to the Lebanese competent authorities to be issued in Lebanon and
later returned and handed to the applicants; a process that takes an
average of two months.
